My Top 5 Regular Food Blogs at Home
As you may have noticed, my blog these days has steered itself towards mostly food. There’s genuinely no controlling this

Every morning while I’m trying to convince myself to get out of bed, I pull up Bloglovin’ and start going through all of the new posts for the day. Fairly early on I found myself instantly marking most of the beauty and fashion blogs as read (ya know, without actually opening them and reading them) and leaving nothing behind to read later besides the food blogs. The only exception to this being all the sweet blogger friends I’ve made over the months. I’ll read whatever y’all write about;)
There’s something that you should truly know about me as a (food) blogger. And this is being brutally honest: I don’t truly like to cook or bake all that much. For me, it’s truly more about the photography and capturing the beauty of the food. Is that weird? Don’t get me wrong, I DO enjoy cooking a good meal but at the end of the day, my heart’s truly in the photography of it.
And with all of that being said, I wanted to share with you my….
1. Joy the Baker
This is the blog that first made me fall in love with food photography and blogs. Joy has a way of writing, photographing, and talking about food that makes me read her blog as if it’s a book I simply can’t put down. I look forward to her posts everyday and they pretty much never let me down. She’s an inspiration to me as a food blogger and as a person. AND she has a Cookbook That’s legit.
Here are a few of my regular recipes fromher blog:
Watermelon Strawberry Citrus Sangria (because this sounds GENUINELY good right now)
Roasted Squash and Mushroom Tarts
Fresh Cranberry and Meyer Lemon Biscuits:
And if you don’t already love her by now, maybe this ADORABLE video collaboration with Nordstrom will do it:
7 Ingredient Vegan Cheesecake
If you’re into this kind of thing, the Minimalist Baker also has a PLEASING Food Photography E-Course that you should surely check out. I bought it a while back and I genuinely feel like it improved my photography all around (not simply of food).
3. Love & Olive Oil
This is a somewhat new blog to me. It wasn’t until I had been following the blog for several months that I realized the authors of this blog are also from NASHVILLE! Being a Nashville native, I was overly excited about this fact and instantly liked them even more. A few great recipes:
Strawberry Jam Toaster Pastries
Goat Cheese and Avocado Toast
4. Good Yummies
This is another great blog with a lot of character. I like when food blogs have a great combination of handsome images, engaging writing, and unique recipes. She has a lot of fun tutorials and some great recipes (and reliable photography, of course!). They’re mostly all light, healthy recipes too so if you’re preparing yourself for bikini season, check this blog out!
How to Make Kitchen-made Nut Butters
Iced Dirty Chai Almond Milk Latte
Spring Green Salad with Honey Dijon Almond Butter Dressing
5. Shugary Sweets
You’ll notice that there’s a bit of a trend here: most of my regular blogs seem to blog about SWEET recipes. I think a lot of this is due to the fact that, as I already pointed out, I’m mostly drawn to the photography and the truth is that baked goods are simply the prettiest in pictures. Case in point from the Shugary Sweets blog:
Peanut Butter Mouse Pie
Cranberry Pistachio Cookie Bars
Chocolate Hazelnut Tart with Chocolate Mouse
So there you have it: My top 5 go-to food blogs. I hope you enjoyed this and found some new food blogs to follow.
